The Guan-Ho-Ha Fish and Game Club (GHH) in partnership with the Schenectady County Junior Rifle Club (SCJRC) will begin providing a smallbore rifle program for junior boys and girls.  The Guan-Ho-Ha Fish and Game Club Board of Directors have approved the Club as the new base of operations for the SCJRC.

The mission of the SCJRC is to provide an opportunity for local boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18 to learn the basics of smallbore rifle marksmanship and, hopefully, develop the skills for precision rifle shooting required for competition.

The training provided to SCJRC club members is specifically designed to develop competition rifle shooters; competition matches sanctioned by the NRA, USA Shooting, and the Civilian Marksmanship Program are used throughout the year to develop competitive rifle shooting skills. Competitive shooting is not only a means to proficient shooting skills but necessary if the club member wishes to participate in a college shooting team.

SCJRC will meet on Thursday nights from 6:30pm to 8:00 pm at the GHH indoor range. Refer to the event calendar on the Guan-Ho-Ha website for scheduled dates.

SCJRC maintains an inventory of single shot target rifles, along with shooting jackets, gloves and mats that members can use as part of their membership.

SCJRC membership fee is $30.00 in addition to a one-time GHH junior membership fee of $45.00. Junior GHH members upon turning 18 years of age automatically become regular adult members of Guan-Ho-Ha Fish and Game Club and required to pay the annual membership fees in order to retain their Guan-Ho-Ha membership. SCJRC dues are renewable at the beginning of each year. If a prospective member already has a junior membership with GHH, the SCJRC membership is $30.00 per year. There is no fee for any interested prospective SCJRC member attending for the first time to try the program.
